Classroom Organization Tips Linky Party!

This summer my HUGE goal was to organize my filing cabinet that holds my teaching masters. I was tired of digging for the right folder, then digging in a massive pile of papers to find what I needed, and then filing them back where they belonged. So by the end of the year I had broken folders and dividers, papers in other drawers and papers in the wrong folder. I just finished creating my Owl Covers and Spines to organize all of my teaching files! I created 13 binders with some of my owl binder covers and spines. Then I purchased dividers for $1.50 at target for each binder and printed out labels for each one. Here are a few pictures below. You can click on my Owl Binders and Spines cover to get them for free at my My Store!

Click on the picture above to get yours free! I love getting organized!

I also created a teacher toolkit that I use non-stop! I also allow the kids to go in it as well with my permission of course! :)

You can also check out some pictures of my organized classroom at My Classroom page.

Enjoy and link up with Miss Kindergarten! :)

10 Things I've Learned from Teaching

1.) Even though teachers are off  over the summer, they never stop blogging, reading teaching books, and talking to colleagues about their new room design or plans for the upcoming year.

2.) If you give your students your email or phone number, they will Facetime you and email you.
 (Technology is taking over!!!)

3.) When you leave the last day of the school year, it takes a long time to get used to not seeing your class. You have been in their lives for 180 days!!1

4.) Kids have the craziest imaginations and personalities. Every one of your students wants your attention and needs you to be there for them no matter how their behavior is.

5.) Getting yourself organized is so rewarding! Things are so easy to find. :) I especially love my new master binders I organized!

6.) Find time to exercise! Yes, teachers exercise everyday moving up and down stairs and hallways. But, fid time to run a few times a week after the school day. Relieves a lot of stress!

7.) You never know when you will run out of wipes, pencils, hand sanitizer or tissues. Last year I ran out of pencils and the year before it was wipes, and the year before that was tissues! eek! Always stock up!

8.) Teaching is a hard job. No, we don't "babysit." We teach kids how to behave and learn social and emotionally.

9.) Be yourself! Don't change your teaching style! Do what you do best to make your students successful!

10.) BREATHE! Sometimes it's okay during your prep to sit at your desk and take some deep breathes. It helps me a lot, especially when I feel like it's crunch time!

I hope this gives you some insight on my life as a teacher! :) Enjoy!

Favorite Pins Friday!

I hope everyone had a great 4th of July! Today I am linking up with The First Grade Parade for Favorite Pins Friday! :)

I can't believe that I never heard of this app: Remind 101. I always have parents texting me! I should face it that today text messaging is the smarter way of communicating. I can use remind 101 to text parents about due dates and trips! Brilliant!

Love the idea of using these jars for a wedding. So easy and pretty! Elmers glue, glitter, mason jars and a tea light! :)

I am totally getting into the lace wedding dresses! I love the bow and the open back. So pretty and elegant!

This will be my word wall this year. I am tired of stapling and using sticky tack. Just clip words on the ribbon!
I think this adorable. I believe the more pictures of your students you have the more comfortable your classroom feels. Definitely doing this!

Great incentive! I would probably use this for them to buy coupons. Students are also able to practice adding and subtracting as well! Sweet!

 This is so true!!!!!

Finally, I love owls and would pay anyone to make me this pillow!!!!!

Thanks for stopping by! Please link up with The First Grade Parade and follow me on bloglovin!!

Thank you!!!!
